The Duke University Talent Identification Program ("Duke TIP") is a nonprofit educational
organization that is recognized as a leader in identifying and serving the educational needs of academically gifted youth.
Through identification, recognition, challenging educational programs, information, advocacy and research, "Duke TIP"
provides resources to gifted students, their parents, educators, and schools to help gifted scholars reach their full
academic potential;and
The. Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) has served over 2.8 million
academically talented students in grades four through twelve since 1980. Each year, Duke TIP enrolls nearly one hundred
thousand new students in its talent searches; and annually, "Duke TIP" identifies a group of academically talented
students in the United States based on their exceptional grade-level standardized test scores - only those who score at or
above the 95th percentile qualify; and those students are invited to participate in the 7th Grade Talent Search and to take
the ACT or SAT,which are designed for college-bound eleventh and twelfth graders; and
=_ ' '- Gabriella Sofia Perez-Baba, who lives in Winter Springs and is a Th-grade student at Indian
Trails Middle School, was invited to join the Duke University Talent Identification Program's prestigious 7th Grade Talent
Search; thusthis incredible accomplishment on the part of Gabriella Sofia Perez-Baba, definitely makes her one of Winter
Springs' most impressive youths and one of our finest.
