• During a patrol on June 9, 2017, L noticed this property
overgrown with grass and weeds exceeding the maximum
allowable height per code. There was junk and debris
stored on the right side of the house that appears to be a
wooden type pallet, a mirror, an object covered by a tarp
and other scattered debris on the side of the house. Junk,
what appears to be an old appliance, and a bucket was
being stored outside the main garage door. Junk and debris
was being stored on the left side of the house.

• A portable basketball goal and several large stones are
being kept in the right-of-way.
• The wooden fence on the right side of the house appeared
to be bowed out from the landscaping and in a state of
disrepair, as several of the slats are not tight and the whole
section needed to be cleaned, as a dark material was visible
on it An NCV letter was prepared and sent to the owners.
Code Enforcement Division
• On July 11, 2017, the NCV was returned "unclaimed" so it
was posted on the property (front garage door) on July 12.
The dates of correction were moved up one month to
satisfy the code requirements for fence repair cases.
• The second certified mailed NCV was returned
"unclaimed on July 20, 2017. On July 24 the NCV that
was posted on the garage door was noticed removed from
the door.
• By August 23, 2017, the house had been repainted but
more junk was piled inside trailers on the property. What
looks like old wooden dressers were propped in front of
the wooden fence so it was impossible to see what has
been done. Basketball goal still remained in place.
Cade Enforcement Division
• The Notice of Code Board hearing was mailed certified to
the owners on August. 23, 2017 and posted on the property
and the bulletin board at City Hall on August 29, 2017.
The mailing for the Code Board hearing still sits at the Post
Office awaiting pickup and will soon be sent back to me.
• As of September 22, 2017, the debris and junk had been
piled in the back of a utility trailer on the right side of the
house but had not been removed from the property. The
fence repairs have been verified and the violation is
resolved, however it was not remedied by the time
required.
• On September 25, 2017, I received my first and only
correspondence from the owners via voicemail. I have not
spoken with him, as the content of his message was not
related to the case matters.
Code Enforcement Division
• An inspection this morning shows the trailer that had the
debris piled in the back of it is still where it was but it is
now covered with a tarp. I cannot yet clear this violation.
The basketball goal is still in place.
