HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016 02 05 Gary BrookPR OCLAMATION OFFICE OF THE MAYOR WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA WHEREAS, GARY BROOD . a resident of the City of Winter Springs for many years, and a resident of the Tuscawilla community since 1985, served our great country as an Officer/Pilot in the United States Air Force for twenty years followed by twenty-three years of service with the Lockheed Martin Company; and 'WHEREAS, GARY BR()Oh is enjoying his retirement as a resident of the City of Winter Springs and even in retirement, has been a very active member of his community, attending City Commission meetings as well as Police Department Citizen Advisory Committee meetings to stay in touch and remain knowledgeable about his community, as well as attending and graduating from the Seminole County Citizens Academy and the Winter Springs Police Academy; and WHEREAS, in addition to being a valuable, active, and caring member of the Tuscawilla community as well as the City of Winter Springs, GARZ' BROOK enjoys riding his bicycle around the Tuscawilla neighborhood and along the Cross Seminole Trail while truly enjoying some of the wonderful attributes that this City has to offer; and R(HEREAS, with his great appreciation for the City in which he resides coupled with his enjoyment of riding his bicycle, ` rARY RROO was one of the original Appointed members of the City's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee with his appointment in September 201o, while also serving for several years in the role of Vice Chairperson of the Committee until his resignation in September 2015; and WHEREAS, extraordinary residents like GARY BROOK, that go that extra mile in so many ways, are sincerely appreciated for their dedicated service to the betterment and enhancement of the community and the entire City of Winter Springs. Nora', TH REFORE, I CHAt"TES LACEY", Mayor of the City of Winter Springs, do hereby Proclaim that the care, dedication, and contributions to the Winter Springs community by GARY BROOK have and will always be incredibly important to the legacy of our great City and will always be treasured by so many friends and neighbors of this fine Winter Springs resident.
