RECOMMENDATION:
Staff requests the City Commission receive and review the information provided in this Agenda Item.

Staff recommends the City Commission authorizeDanus Utilitiesto perform the valve and piping
replacements needed atLift Station #6Win the amount of $52,018.00 plus a 10% contingencypayable
from the Utility Enterprise Fund Capital Improvements line codeand authorize the City Manager and
City Attorney to prepare and execute any and all applicable documents.

301.Public Works Department -Urban Beautification Division

REQUEST:
The Public Works Department, Urban Beautification Division, is requesting authorization to increase
the streetlight reimbursement rate from $13.34 to $13.36 per light for communities with decorative
streetlights.A $0.02 rate increase is also proposed forthe Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification
District (TLBD), which would bring the reimbursement from $13.18 in 2016 to $13.20 in 2017.The
increase is in accordance with the revised rate schedule from Duke Energy, effective January 1st, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
As a result of the January 2017 Duke Energy rate increase, the City will pay approximately $305 more
for streetlight reimbursement for 2017 as compared to the previous year.

Staffrecommends that the City Commission approve the revised streetlightbase rate of $13.36 for

two wastewater plant emergency generators to meet current emission standardsat a cost of
$98,130.66plus a 10% contingency.

Improvements line code.This project was budgeted at $80K and available funds from other projects
will be transferred to cover the increased cost.

REQUEST:
The Police Department requests the Commission accept the 2017Florida Department of Law
Enforcement JAGD grantin the amount of $2,900 and to authorize the City Manager and Mayor to
execute all required documentation related to this grant acceptance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Thesegrant revenues and related expenditures were not included in the FY 2016/2017 police
department budget because the grant had not been posted at that time.Themobile printersand
associated equipment will cost $2,900 and this expense will be reimbursed through the grant;therefore,
there isnet-zero impact to the 2016/2017budget relative to this agenda item.

to Universal Engineering Sciences' agreement and authorization of up to $75,000 for the performance of
Professional Building Department Services.

out a “Public Input” form. In its discretion, the City Commissionmay set aside up to thirty
additional minutes at the end of each City Commission meeting for additional public input by

quasi-judicial andpublic hearing items previously addressed by the City Commission at the same
meeting, nor to advancearguments or repetitious questions concerning matters which the City
