THOA Requests the following: -Amend the existing on street parking ordinance to apply to the geographical area of Tuscawilla (ie the TLBD-I and TLBD-II footprint) -Remove the existing 24/7 prohibition against on street parking and replace it with the following: On street parking will not be permitted overnight (between the hours of Midnight - 6AM) -Before parking on the street homeowners/residents and their guests must first use their driveway if space exists in the driveway. -Short term hardship exemptions are available to a homeowner/resident if they will have guests staying overnight at their home for a period not to exceed 20 days and if by virtue of those guests staying at their home the physical dimensions of their driveway will not accommodate the vehicles regularly driven by the full time residents of the home and their overnight guests. The short term application for this exemption is made by completing a form at the City web site and/or by the completion of a form which can be obtained from WSPD, City Hall or a responding Officer. -Long term hardship exemptions are available to a homeowner/resident if they can demonstrate that the physical dimensions of their driveway: A. Is not adequate for the vehicles regularly driven by the full time residents of the home; or B. Is not adequate for the vehicles of attendants/medical care providers required to provide assistance to residents of the home. The long term exemption may be obtained by filing an annual application making the representations set forth above under oath and a hanger tag will be issued which may be transferred from vehicle to vehicle. (ie from nurses car to nurses car for example) THOA has not addressed the issue of on street parking which is prohibited on collector roads in as much as to date the City has not included that provision within the scope of the temporary moratoriums.
