CONSIDERATIONS: The Certified Public Manager program is a nationally recognized, comprehensive training Consent 201 PAGE 1 OF 3 - March 26, 2012 and development program for public sector managers at all levels of state and local government.  The Certified Public Managers program incorporates state-of-the-art theory with practical applications. The curriculum covers the full spectrum of management, beginning with individual performance and gradually expanding to broader organizational issues and public policy.    The program is offered in eight, four-day training sessions.  These sessions are offered every month, which allows the employee to attend very comprehensive management training and still maintain their job related responsibilities.   The software maintenance cost for the live scan finger print system is necessary to maintain the ability to upload finger print information to the FBI and FDLE.  They have recently mandated that the pre-employment finger print cards have to be digitally uploaded and can no longer be printed and mailed in a hard copy format. FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this employee development and software maintenance will come from the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund in the amount of $9,450.00.  Currently, there is a balance of $48,944.41 in the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund.  There will be no impact to the General Fund budget for this purchase.
