The Parks and Recreation Department requests the Commission to accept a donation from
Helpful Hands in the amount of $2,000. The donation will be used to provide scholarships
for families in need for Winter Springs Summer Camp.
SYNOPSIS:
This is the 3rd year Helpful Hands is giving a donation for the Summer Camp Program.
Monies last year were used to help three different Winter Springs families.
CONSIDERATIONS:
• Applicants will follow established scholarship application guidelines.
• Funds to be used for WS residents, participants pay half of the registration fee and
this qualifies them for 50% scholarships for Summer Camp
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $2,000 donation will be used for Camp Sunshine scholarships.
