Lenhof Date: July 25, 2016 These documents were provided to the City by Ms. Rusty Lenhof during "Public Input" at the July 25, 2016 City Commission Regular Meeting. Neighborhood Home Owners Tired of being cited or ticketed for parking on your own lawn? Tired of being told to get a Permit to put mulch down only to have it wash away, since it is not a permit solution? Tired of being told we can park on the street when this neighborhood was established around 1970. Concerned that if an Emergency occurred that took place that someone could die because they cannot get through the street causing a law suit against the city! Tired of being told to park in your garage when the sizes of these small garages do not allow for getting out of your car once you are inside! Many vehicles are not able to park in the garage do to the vehicles size! These are Single Family Homes built in the 1970's, EMPHASIS on Single Dwellings! So many of these homes are Rental Homes and those that rent out rooms creating way more parking issues on the grass! Parking behind one another in a single driveway then puts us in violation of blocking the sidewalk! Then come to the Winter Springs meeting on: Monday July 25th at 5:15 Bring your ideas, suggestions and possible solutions like: 1. Winter Springs to contract with a Cement Company to provide discounts to *Property owners for the choice of a full driveway, or two cement stripes for parking per house. 2. If the city cannot help with Contracting a Cement Company, or help with the cost of moving water meters to help with a solution, then how about putting a limit of four cars to a dwelling even if parking stripes, or driveways are added? *Notifying all property owners that it is mandatory that all homes be provided upgrading with parking stripes, or driveways to their rental properties. Come join all your neighbors in helping to resolve our parking problem. Let's do this without any anger, or attitude. Thank You, Your concerned neighbor. P.S. Please feel free to discuss any other neighborhood concerns you may have. We may not be able to resolve them all but you can make our Officials aware of them so they can work on possible solutions. HeIR keep our neighborhood Safe Clean Friendlier and keep the children safe! 7-2-16 Saturday 8:30 pm - 8:45pm Houses with Cars in Yards: (This is not a car count) Houses per street: Albert: 5 34 Bennett: 4 plus 1 boat 32 Charles: 6 34 David 7 81 Edwin 2 14 Frank 0 1 George 0 17 Sherry 6 22 Wade 7 14 Total: 37 houses Total number of houses:249
