Regular Meeting City Manager Department
The Urban Beautification Department, Arbor Division, asks that the City Commission
approve the request of Rick Rebello to remove one (1) specimen pine tree from 109 Holiday
Lane. The resident is concerned with the lean of the tree and previous storm damage.
SYNOPSIS:
Rick Rebello has applied for a tree removal permit to remove (1) 26" specimen pine tree
that sustained previous storm damage and is leaning.
CONSIDERATIONS:
The resident is concerned that previous storm damage has compromised the structure of the
tree and that the tree poses a potential risk. Based on an assessment of the tree made by the
City Arborist and Urban Beautification Coordinator on July 17, 2015, approval of the
request to remove this tree is recommended. The tree sustained storm damage which is
visible in the form of various fine cracks at the base of the tree.
FISCAL IMPACT:
If this request is approved, the applicant will pay a $25 arbor permit fee to the Arbor Fund
and be required to install four (4) replacement credits.
