Andrea Lorenzo-Luaces Subject: FW For tonight's Commission meeting From: Rabbi Maurice 5. Kaprow [mailto:mkaye1 earthlink net] Sent: Monday, lune 08, 2015 11:02 AM Please ask Mayor Lacey to read the following at tonight's meeting I'm certain that Chief Brunelle has the names of the award winners I misplaced my copy of the program Thanks Mr. Mayor and Members of the Commission, I'm sorry I cannot be at tonight's meeting in person but I am immobile for the next few weeks. In was hoping to be able to address the Commission in person but, since that is not possible, would appreciate having these remarks read into the record. On Thursday evening, May 14, I had the privilege of delivering an invocation at the Oviedo-Winter Springs Optimist Club's annual Respect for Law program at Oviedo City Hall. Several Winter Springs Police officers, detectives, civilians, and Explorers were recognized that evening. While a number of Oviedo officials were present, Winter Springs officials were not, I'm certain for valid reasons. I want to recognize all the members of our police department from Chief Brunelle to the civilians who daily make our lives safer here in the finest city on the United States and congratulate the award recipients. Hopefully, in coming years, we can be certain that Winter Springs is well-represented at this important recognition event. Thank you for your time. Sincerely yours, RABBI MAURICE S. KAPROW, M.A., B.C.C. 1
