This office, in preparation for the implementation of Article V must know what municipalities within Seminole County are desirous of eliminating their municipal court and will look to the State Attorney' s Office for prosecution of Village Ordin- ances. We are at the present time making every effort to pre- pare our budget and be ready for the implementation of Article V when it goes into effect January 3, 1973, therefore, I would respectfully request that you discuss this matter with your Village Council in an effort to determine whether or not you will be eliminating your municipal court; and if so, would you please so advise this office as to your Village' s position so that in the event we take over prosecution for violation of Village Ordinances in your municipality we will be prepared to do so on January 3, 1973. The County Commissioners would appreciate your thoughts regarding this change in 'our Judiciary system and how you anticipate it will affect your planning of projects. Are you going to continue any expansion plans relating to the courts, cut back or what? Would space be available for branch courts at your facilities if the Judiciary elects to hold court in your area? Granted that there are many questions which are unanswerable at this time , however, it is anticipated that perhaps your assistance in helping to implement Article V will better assist the residents of your fair city. Any thoughts that you may have would be very much appreciated either in writing or during a work session. Thank you for your time and assistance.
