Dear Mayor:
A committee is now trying to qualify the entire
area of Seminole County for participation in the Economic
Opportunity Act of 1964. This will be a joint undertaking
of the County and all municipalities within the County in
order to be eligible for federal assistance in setting up
schools and training programs for our people in order to
better equip them to obtain jobs.
Each municipality has a representative on the
Community Action Program Committee . It is now asked that
each city pass a resolution signifying the participation
in the program. A sample resolution is enclosed as an
aid.
It is asked that each community notify us of
their action and to send two executed copies of the
resolution to my office as soon as possible.
