HomeMy WebLinkAboutMSA Cleaning Systems, Inc - Second Addendum to Janitorial Services Contract 2012 08 24SECOND ADDENDUM TO CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS JANITORIAL SERVICES CONTRACT THIS SECOND ADDENDUM TO JANITORIAL SERVICES CONTRACT { "Second Addendurn'� is entered into by and between the City of Winter Springs ( "City" and MSA Cleaning Systems, Inc. ( "Contractor'D. The Contractor's address is 7025 CR 46 A, Suite 1071 -367, Lake Mary, FL 32746. WHEREAS, the City and Contractor entered into that Janitorial Services Contract dated February 1, 2012 ( "Contract', as amended by that Addendum thereto dated April 19, 2012 ( "Addendum'), for the purpose of Contractor providing janitorial services to the City for the City Hall building, the Public Works Operations Building, and the Public Works Trailer offices; and WHEREAS, the parties desire to further amend the Janitorial Duties Specifications set forth in Exhibit "B" to the Contract for the purpose of Contractor providing additional janitorial services to the City for the City's police station located at 300 North Moss Road, Winter Springs, Florida consistent with the terms and conditions of this Second Addendum; and WHEREAS, the parties desires to set forth their mutual understanding of the terms and conditions of their agreement herein. IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual promises and understandings contained in this Second Addendum, the Contractor and the City agree as follows: 1. AMENDMENT TO JANITORIAL DUTIES SPECIFICATIONS; The City and Contractor hereby agree to amend the Janitorial Duties Specifications set forth in Exhibit `B" to the Contract to add the Following. Additional Monthly Cleaning Services for Police Station In addition to the specific duties set forth below, the City reserves the right to add additional, minor duties to be performed by Contractor. No additional payment shall be due Contractor for said additional minor duties unless agreed to in writing by both parties hereto. Common areas c tin hal mmys, waiting etc. 1. Entrance way glass doors to be cleaned inside and out to remove finger prints and smudges. Special attention around handle areas. 2. Clean all drinking fountains, polish bright work and sanitize. 3. Damp wipe all obvious dirt from surface of waste collectors. 4. Wipe down all countertops. 5. Vacuum carpeted areas and remove /treat all spills in carpet weekly. Carpet stains to be treated but limited to the size of a tennis ball. 6. Empty trash cans and replace soiled liners as needed. Take all trash to designated area as specified. Straighten out furniture in conference rooms /training area when used. 3. Wipe down tables in conference room /training area used. 4. Empty trash cans and replace soiled liners. Take all trash to designated area as specified. 5. Clean all doors leading into offices, exits, etc. of finger prints smudges, etc. Qffices /Conference Room MONTHLY 1. All horizontal surfaces eight feet and under will be dusted monthly. 2. Dust all blinds and window coverings. 3. Dust all door frames and doors. 4. Dust all base boards. 5. Dust all window sills. 6. Dust wall ornaments, fixtures, and pictures. 7. Dust computers and filing cabinets. 8. Dust all tables and chairs. Restrooms 1. Clean and disinfect toilets. 2. Remove all fingerprints and smudges from all glass and mirrored surfaces. 3. Clean and disinfect sinks and countertops. 4. Clean and disinfect mirrors, bright work and dispensers. 5_ Restock hand towels, toilet tissue, soap, sanitary items and air fresheners. 6. Trash to be emptied and liners replaced. 7. Wet mop floors with a deodorized disinfectant and micro fiber mop. Break Area 1. Clean and sanitize all kitchen counters and tables. 2. Empty trash cans and replace liners. All trash to be removed to designated area as specified. 3. Sweep and wet mop all file floor surfaces with a neutral disinfectant. 4. Wipe down all chairs to remove food and hand prints. Place all chairs back to tables in an organized fashion. 5. Wipe down all cabinetry and wails to remove spills, drips, and finger prints. * * *M5A Cleaning Systems, Inc. will provide equipment, chemicals and trained and qualified personnel to perform above services. City of Winter Springs will provide all paper products, soap, trash can liners, sanitary items and air fresheners. * ** 2. COMPENSATION: For the additional services set forth in this Second Addendum, the City and Contractor hereby agree that the City shall pay the Contractor $519.00 per month for twice a week service and $680.00 per month for three times a week service. Said payment shall be in addition to the compensation due Contractor under the Contract and Addendum. 3. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS: All terms and conditions of the Contract and Addendum not expressly modified by this Second Addendum shall remain in full force and effect.
