A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CC?MMISSION OF THE
CITY dF WINTER SPRINGS, FLCIRIDA, AUT�IORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTQ A HIGHWAY
MAINTENANCE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH
THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPQRTATION; �
PR4VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, rnany roadside areas and median strips abutting Department of Trans-
portation rights-of-way areas must be maintained and attractively landscaped; and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Cammission desire that the City af Winter Springs
beautify and maintain various rights-of-way areas within the City of Winter Springs by lands-
caping to a higher standard than provided by FDOT; and
WHEREAS,the Mayor and City Commissian of the City of Winter Springs wish to
autharize the City Manager to enter into a Highway Maintenance Metnorandum of Agree�nent
between the City of Winter Springs and the Florida Department of Transpartation.
NOW,THEREF4RE, BE IT RESQLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
QF THE CITY QF WINTER SPRINGS,FLQRIDA,AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I- The City Commission of the City af Winter Springs hereby authorize5 the
City Manager to enter into a Highway Maintenance Memarandum of Agreement between the
City of Winter Springs and the State of Florida Department of Transportation, in a form
acceptable to the City Comrnission, and mutually agreed upon renewals ar extensions, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incarporated by reference.
SECTIUN Ii-The City Clerk of t�te City af Winter Springs is hereby directed to send
copies of this Resolutian to the Departm�nt of Transportation and all other persons as directed
by the Mayor and City Cornrnissian.

SECTION III- This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
RESOLVED BY the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, in a
