I-IERE~AS, Public Works/Utility services provided in our community are an integral part
of our citizen's everyday lives; and
NERLAS, the support of an understanding and informed citizenry is vital to the efficient
operation of Public Works/Utility systems and programs such as water,
sewers, streets and highways, public buildings, and solid waste collection;
and
HEREAS, the health, safety and comfort of this community greatly depends on the
facilities and services affiliated with Public Works and Utilities; and
I-IFRE:IS, the quality and effectiveness of these facilities, as well as their planning,
design, and construction, is vitally dependent upon the efforts and skill of
Public Works/Utility Department Officials; and
IIE:REAS, the efficiency of the very qualified and very dedicated personnel who staff
Public Works/Utility Departments is significantly influenced by the public's
attitude and understanding of the importance of the work they perform.

hereby recognize the Staff of the City of Winter Springs' Public Works and Utility
Departments -the men and women of these Departments who are often the unsung heroes
of our community and who strive to perform their job day in, day out with the utmost
professionalism and dedication as they make sure that the foundation of our City is strong
and well structured for our citizens. We celebrate their committed service as we honor these
