Bush at 5:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Building (City Hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida 32708). ti Roll Call: Mayor John F. Bush, present Deputy Mayor Rick Brown, present Commissioner Jean Hovey, present Commissioner Gary Bonner, arrived at 5:01 p.m. Commissioner Sally McGinnis, present Commissioner Joanne M. Krebs, present City Manager Kevin L. Smith, present City Attorney Anthony A. Garganese, arrived at 5:01 p.m. PUBLIC INPUT No one spoke. Commissioner Gary Bonner arrived at 5:01 p.m. City Attorney Anthony A. Garganese arrived at 5:01 p.m. REGULAR AGENDA REGULAR 600. Office Of The City Manager REQUEST: Requests That The Mayor And City Commission Review The Dates For The 2010 Inauguration Ceremony And The Next Joint Meeting With The City Of Oviedo. FISCAL IMPACT: There Is No Fiscal Impact Related To This Specific Agenda Item. COMMUNICATION EFFORTS: This Agenda Item Has Been Distributed To The Mayor And City Commission, The City Manager, The City Attorney, Department Directors, Placed In The Lobby Binder, And Will Be Available On The City's Website, Laserfiche, And The City's Server. RECOMMENDATION: The Mayor And City Commission Are Being Asked To Review The Dates For The 2010 Inauguration And The Next Joint Meeting With Oviedo And Make Any Changes They Deem Necessary. City Manager Kevin L. Smith introduced this Agenda Item and stated, "We would respectfully request a Motion to change our Inauguration date for Mayor -Elect Lacey, Commissioner (Cade) Resnick and Deputy Mayor (Rick) Brown from November 15` (2010) to November the 10 (2010) — right before our Joint Meeting with Oviedo." DISCUSSION. 1 STAFF SUGGESTED THAT THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY COULD COMMENCE AT 4:30 P.M. BRIEF DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ON NOTIFYING THE COMMUNITY ABOUT THE DATE FOR THIS EVENT. .. MAYOR BUSH SUMMARIZED, "WE HAVE A MOTION ON THE FLOOR FOR 4:30 (P.M.) ON (WEDNESDAY), NOVEMBER THE 10 (2010)." VOTE: COMMISSIONER HOVEY: AYE COMMISSIONER KREBS: AYE COMMISSIONER McGINNIS: AYE DEPUTY MAYOR BROWN: AYE COMMISSIONER BONNER: AYE MOTION CARRIED. Manager Smith then inquired, "Would the Commission be of the mindset along the lines of communication to take our standard communication approaches with an eAlert, the sign out front, and so on and so forth? Would that be helpful ?" Commissioner Joanne M. Krebs responded by saying, "Whatever we can." Commissioner Jean Hovey suggested that notices be sent out using the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) list. Manager Smith added, "In concert with our eAlerts, Andrea (Lorenzo - Luaces, City Clerk) has a list of all the HOA (Homeowner's Association) Presidents - we could communicate that through an email to them also." Lastly, Mayor Bush mentioned that related to requesting a ticket or a table for the "Community Leadership Celebration" scheduled for Friday, May 20, 2011, and remarked, "Let Andrea (Lorenzo - Luaces) know, if you wish to attend this so she can decide whether we need a table or not."
