Bush at the April 26, 2010 City Commission Regular Meeting during Awards and Presentations "304 ". PROCLAMATIO CC OF T> MA WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA 1(HEREAS, Chief of Police Kevin P. Brunelle has been employed with the Winter Springs Police Department for 22 years and has served as the Winter Springs Chief of Police since January 2009; and W HEREAS, on the afternoon of Friday, April 9, 2010, an eleven year old resident, Nadia Bloom, went missing from her Barrington Estates neighborhood in Winter Springs, and over the course of that evening and the next four very long days, Chief Brunelle was unwavering in his dedication to find young Nadia; and 1(HEREAS, in the endeavor to find Nadia, Chief Brunelle enlisted his entire Police Force, other City personnel, volunteers, and the generous assistance of other local, state and federal Law Enforcement agencies, all working towards what they hoped would be a successful outcome; and 1(HEREAS, Chief Brunelle, his Police Force and those numerous Law Enforcement agencies, in an awesome display of teamwork, used every resource imaginable including canines, horses, helicopters, ATV's, boats, etc. to find this missing eleven year old who had wandered into an incredibly dense and dangerous swampland bordering Lake Jesup; and W HEREAS, Chief Brunelle's steadfast resolve and valiant efforts, including leadership of his team, coordination with other Law Enforcement agencies, interactions with the media, and concern for the Bloom family, reflected most admirably on the City, it's elected officials, and the entire Winter Springs community; and W HEREAS, Chief Brunelle displayed exceptional tenacity, focus, dedication, and leadership in coordinating the of p g forts to locate Nadia, pledging to Nadia's family and all parties involved that he would "not give up "; and W HEREAS, these tireless efforts were rewarded on the wonderful morning of Tuesday, April 13, 2010 when, with the heroic efforts of Seminole County Resident Mr. James King who located Nadia, Chief Brunelle's team brought Nadia and Mr. King out of the swamps of Lake Jesup to safety, hereby OW, THEREFORE, th 1, JOHN F.
