REQUEST: City Manager requesting the Commission to provide a consensus of opinion
regarding a proposed date for a joint meeting with the City of Oviedo.
PURPOSE:
This agenda item is needed to provide the City of Oviedo with a proposed date for the next joint
meeting with the City of Winter Springs.
CONSIDERATIONS:
The City of Oviedo has suggested the dates of September 28 and 29, 2004 for the next joint
meeting.
FUNDING: N/A
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Commission provide a consensus of opinion regarding the proposed
date for the next joint meeting with the City of Oviedo.

Subject: Joint Meeting with Winter Springs City Commission
Dear Mr. McLemore:
I have received a letter dated July 27, 2004 from Kipton Lockcuff on your behalf regarding the
scheduling of the next joint meeting between the Winter Springs City Commission and the Oviedo
City Council. Because of some scheduling conflicts that have developed for members or our City
Council, we are suggesting that the next joint meeting be planned for the last week of September
(September 27 through October 1). .
As of this writing, a majority of our Council members will be available on Tuesday, September 28
or Wednesday, September 29. I would appreciate it if you could forward this information to your
City Commission so that we might firm up our scheduled meeting plan.
