PURPOSE: The purpose of this agenda item is to request the City Commission to authorize an agreement with Progress Energy for installation of (34) 175w Metal Halide Clermont Fixtures on 16' Washington Poles and associated wiring at a cost of $ 17,781.84. This lighting project would be in conjunction with the. Seminole County SR 434 Improvements Project (SR 600 to SR419), which is projected to begin in May '04. CONSIDERA TIONS: · This agenda item is needed to provide decorative lighting for the SR 434 Village Walk Project. · A cost of $ 17,781.84 has been provided by Progress Energy to install (34) lighting fixtures and poles for the Village Walk Project under the attached work authorization form. · Lighting services to be provided by Progress Energy for an initial term of (6) years following the current rate schedule (BA-l) for the Village Walk Project under the attached lighting service agreement. FUNDING: Funds are budgeted in the 1999 Construction Fund 434 Village Walk project (305-63000). .
