Authorization REQUEST: The City Clerk respectfully requests that an Appointment to the Code Enforcement Board be made by either Mayor Bush or any Member of the City Commission to fill a current vacancy on the Code Enforcement Board. PURPOSE: This Appointment is needed to replace a current vacancy on the Code Enforcement Board. CONSIDERA TIONS: Any Member of the City Commission and/or the Mayor can make an Appointment to the Code Enforcement Board to replace Mr. Greg Thompson. The Code Enforcement Board is a seven (7) Member Board, which typically meets on the third Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Term of Service is for three (3) years. Pitts (Businessman) · Gregory Roero (Teacher) . Vacant Position The following is an excerpt from the City's Code of Ordinances: Sec. 2-57. Membership; appointment; qualifications. "The code enforcement board shall consist of seven (7) members to be appointed by the city commission. Appointments to the board shall be on the basis of experience or interest in the fields of zoning and building control. The membership of the enforcement board shall, whenever possible, include an architect, a businessman, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor and a realtor or as otherwise provided by law." If this Appointment is not made at this Meeting, this matter will be placed on subsequent Agendas until the vacancy has been filled. RECOMMENDATION: Any Member of the City Commission and/or the Mayor is requested to make an Appointment to the Code Enforcement Board. COMMISSION ACTION:
