REQUEST: The City Manager and the City Clerk request that Members of the City Commission make the remaining Appointments for the newly organized Ad-Hoc Committee referred to as the Davis Properties Affordable Housing Due Diligence Committee. PURPOSE: This Agenda Item is needed for the last remaining Appointments to the Ad-Hoc Davis Properties Affordable Housing Due Diligence Committee. CONSIDERATIONS: At the June 23, 2003 the first set of Appointments to the newly organized Davis Properties Affordable Housing Due Diligence Committee were made. After some Appointments to the Ad-Hoc Committee were made during the June 23, 2003 Regular Meeting of the City Commission, the City Clerk was asked to do the following: Mayor Bush stated, "We will ask the [City] Clerk to confirm with those who have been appointed and then if they cannot serve or won't serve CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS CITY COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING - JULY 14,2003 REGULAR AGENDA ITEM ")" PAGE20F4 then - we will come back to the next Meeting and fill the slots." The following information pertains to what was asked of the City Clerk: NOTE: The Appointment information noted in blue fonts needs to be considered. Mayor John F. Bush appointed the following individuals: 1. Don Gilmore: · Was pleased to accept the Nomination · Currently serves on the Tuscawilla Lighting And Beautification District Advisory Committee · Has no major evening conflicts 2. Tom Brown: · Was pleased to accept the Nomination · Currently serves on the Planning And Zoning Board/Local Planning Agency · Has no major evening conflicts Deputy Mayor Robert S. Miller appointed the following individuals 3. William Poe: · Was pleased to accept the Nomination · Currently serves on the Planning And Zoning Board/Local Planning Agency · Has no major evening conflicts 4. Richard Gennell: · Was pleased to accept the Nomination · Has no major evening conflicts Commissioner Michael S. Blake appointed the following individuals: 5. Mark Lammert: · City Clerk has left messages, however, as of this date, no infonnation has been received 6. Jr. - was absent during the June 23. 2003 Regular Meeting so no Appointments were made. 7. 8. Commissioner Sally McGinnis appointed the following individuals: 9. Paul Buscemi: · Was pleased to accept the Nomination, however Mr. Buscemi will be on vacation from July 19, 2003 through July 29,2003 · Is interested to know when the Committee would meet so that he could verify his availability 10, Jim Charles: · Was pleased to accept the Nomination, however Mr. Charles will be on vacation in July · Is interested to know when the Committee would meet so that he can also verify his availability Commissioner David W. McLeod appointed the following individuals: 11. Ned Voska: · Was pleased to accepted the Nomination · Has no major evening conflicts 12. Howard Casman: · Was pleased to accepted the Nomination · Has no major evening conflicts, at this time City Manager Ronald W. McLemore appointed the following individuals: 11. Richard Grogan: · Was pleased to accepted the Nomination · Has no major evening conflicts 12. RECOMMENDATION: Commissioner Edward Martinez, Jr. is asked to make his two (2) Appointments and several other Members of the City Commission and the City Manager are asked to review the information noted above in blue fonts, and possibly make replacement Appointments of individuals who may be more available to serve on this Ad-Hoc Committee based on the current information available, and the tight timeline.
