COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM E CONSENT X INFORMATIONAL PUBLIC HEARING REGULAR March, 10, 2003 Meeting MGR 0EPT fr Authorization REQUEST: Utility Department Requesting Authorization to Purchase One (1) Service Truck by Piggybacking ofT of Seminole County Bid #A/B-340/JVP. PURPOSE: The purpose of this Board item is to request authorization to piggyback off of Seminole County Bid #A!B-340/JVP for the purchase of one (1) F-250 Service Truck for the Utility Department at a cost of$18,580.00 from Don Reid Ford. CONSIDERATIONS: This vehicle is needed as part of the fleet maintenance and replacement program for the Utility Department. Seminole County has already received bids for the F-250 being considered under Bid #A!B-340/JVP, approved 8/27/02. The vehicle requested for purchase is an F-250 truck. The bid price for the Utility truck is $18,580.00. This includes a utility body. FUNDING: The vehicle purchase of $18,580.00 is within the budget in the Utility Department line code 3600-56400. Expenditure of the funds will occur within 90 to 120 days. . Consent Agenda Item E March 10, 2003 Page 2 RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that authorization be granted to piggyback off of Seminole County Bid #AIB-340/JVB with Don Reid Ford for the purchase of one (1)2003 F-250 truck for the Utility Department at a total cost of $18,580.00 payable from the Utility Department Vehicle line code 3600-56400.
