HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006 12 11 Consent 411 Emergency Bypass Pump COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM 411 CONSENT December 11, 2006 Meeting Authorization REQUEST: Utility Department is Requesting Approval to purchase from the United States General Services Administration (GSA) contract an emergency bypass pump to be used for wastewater lift stations. PURPOSE: The purpose of this Board item is to request approval to purchase a pump off of GSA contract number GS-07F9491G from Godwin Pumps of America Inc. a six inch self priming Critically Silenced Diesel Powered Model CD150M Pump-set. CONSIDERATIONS: The 6 inch critically silenced pump was budgeted for emergency by-pass pumping of lift stations. This pump has very low noise emissions and will be less disturbing to residents adjacent to where it is being used. The cost of the Model CD 150M with the critically silenced package is $32,986.34 plus $1,518.00 for hoses and accessories and a $600.00 delivery charge for a total cost of$35,104.34. FUNDING: Funds are budgeted in the Utility Department line code 3600-64000 RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that approval be granted for the purchase of the 6" Godwin Dri-Prime Model CD150M Critically Silenced Diesel Pump-set from Godwin pumps of America Inc. using GSA contract number GS-07F9491G at a total cost of$35,104.34. 121106_ COMM _ Consent_ 411_ Pump_Replacement December 11, 2006 Consent Agenda Item 411 Page 2 IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE: The order will be placed upon approval by the City Commission by issuance of a purchase order.
