(V /Dept. ~ REQUEST: The Community Development Department requests that the City Commission, in its capacity as the DRC, consider a request for the Building 15 architectural renderings! building elevations submitted by Wendy's (Restaurant Administrative Services). PURPOSE: The purpose of this agenda item is to review building elevations for the Wendy's at the JDC Calhoun Town Center site. CONSIDERATIONS: The staffDRC met with representatives of Restaurant Administrative Services and asked that, although it meets code, the sign projecting above the roofline be relocated onto the fayade of the building. The applicant stated that it may require lowering the second floor windows or making them somewhat shorter, but that they are amenable to making the change. The dumpster pad enclosure will be moved from the building area, across the slightly reconflgured drive-thru aisle, as approved by the City Commission at its January 21,2003, meeting. Avid Engineering, the site engineer, is working on the modifications to the final engineering/site plan. The proposed 2,968 square foot Wendy's is within the 3,500 square foot approved for Building No. 15 on the JDC Calhoun Town Center site plan. 1 January 27, 2003 Regular Agenda Item C Page 2 RECOMMENDATION: The staffDRC recommends that the City Commission, in its capacity as the DRC, approve the Building 15 elevations, subject to the dumpster enclosure being moved apart from the building (as approved on January 21,2002) and the sign being lowered onto the fayade of the building.
