PURPOSE: The purpose of this Board item is to request approval authorization to piggyback off the Florida Sheriff s Association, Florida Association of Counties & Florida Fire Chief s Associations Bid #04-12-0823 specification # 27 with Don Reid Ford for the purchase of one (1) 2006 four (4) wheel drive Yz ton pickup truck for the Utility Department at a cost of $20, 193.00. CONSIDERATIONS: This vehicle is needed as part of the fleet maintenance and replacement program for the Utility Department. Florida Sheriff Association, Florida Association of Counties & Florida Fire Chief s Association has received bids for the 2006, 1/2 ton F150 under Bid #04-12-0823 specification #27. This vehicle is a Ford F-150 pickup truck with four (4) wheel drive to replace a 1992 Ford F-150 four (4) wheel drive pickup truck used by the East Water Reclamation Facility to check the reclaimed water disposal sites. The total purchase price of this vehicle is $20,193.00. The amount budgeted for this vehicle purchase is $23,000.00 in the Utility Department FY 2005/2006 budget. FUNDING: The vehicle purchase pnce of $20,193.00 is within the $23,000.00 budgeted in the Utility Department line code 3600-64100. Expenditure of the funds will occur within 90 to 120 days.
