HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006 10 09 Other Handout Given Out By Attorney Damon Chase Date: October 9, 2006 The attached was discussed and presented by Attorney Damon Chase during the un-Agenda'd discussion on Dyson Drive Traffic Calming at the October 9, 2006 City Commission Regular Meeting. Traffic Calming Ballot For [Enter Name of Community or Subdivision] In order for the ballot process to be successful, at least 65% of the ballots mailed by Seminole County must be returned and marked "FOR" to support the installation of Traffic Calming. The approval requirements set by the County has been designed to avoid the potential of removal of the traffic calming devices. However, if removal is requested by the property owner(s), a petition must be submitted to Seminole County Traffic Engineering with a minimum of 85% of the property owner(s) in agreement for removal. The cost for removal will be assessed to the property owner(s). Property owners not responding to the petition will be counted in the final tally as an "AGAINST" vote.
