REQUEST: Utility Department Requesting Direction on the Utility/Stormwater Rate Study.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Board item is for the City Commission to advise staff on whether
to schedule an 'additional workshop or a regular agenda item to discuss the-options for'
implementation of the Utility and Stormwater Rate Study.
CONSIDERA TIONS:
The City Commission reviewed the water, wastewater, and stormwater rate and charge
study at the workshop on November 12' 2001. An additional workshop was conducted on
March 4, 2002 to review the capital improvement program included in the rate study. Three
options for implementation were discussed in November and staff needs a final determination
in order to proceed.
RECOMMENDA TION:
It is recommended that the City Commission direct staff take to proceed with
whichever option it deems appropriate.
IMPLEMENT A TION:
The item will be scheduled as a regular agenda item at the next meeting or a workshop
should be scheduled.
