HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001 08 20 Regular D Winter Springs Auto Special Exception COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM D CONSENT INFORMA TIONAL PUBLIC HEARING REGULAR X August 20, 2001 MGR i Special Meeting Authorization REQUEST: The Community Development Department requests clarification on the notification procedure for the Winter Springs Auto special exception. PURPOSE: The purpose of this item is to ask for direction regarding notification of adjacent property owners. CONSIDERA TIONS: At its August 13,2001 meeting, the City Commission directed staff to make sure residents surrounding the park are adequately notified, and that may go above and beyond just posting the property when the special exception is heard. Staff would normally notify adjacent property owners, including those owners directly across the street from any subject property. Therefore, staff would like to know if it is the intent of the Commission that all residents in the Tuscawilla Trails Manufactured Home Park receive some form of notice. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Commission provide direction, which could include the following alternatives: 1. Notify adjacent property owners; 2. Notify residences surrounding the site; and/or 3. Notify adjacent property owners and the Tuscawilla Homeowners Association. COMMISSION ACTION:
