HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006 04 10 Informational Item 502 Property Appraisals COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM 502 CONSENT INFORMATIONAL X PUBLIC HEARING REGULAR April 10, 2006 Meeting MGR/DEPT Authorization REQUEST: Public Works Department Providing the City Commission with Updated Information on Property Appraisals. PURPOSE: The purpose of this Agenda Item is to update the City Commission on the Property Appraisals on City properties near the Public Works Building. CONSIDERATIONS: Staff received property appraisals on four parcels of City property in July, 2003. The appraisals were performed by William Pardue of Land America Commercial Appraisal Corporation. Two of the appraisals, A and B on the map, were updated at the direction of the Commission as summarized below. Staff is working with our wetlands consultant to revise and validate the wetland lines on parcels C and D prior to reappraising these parcels. Staffis also working with the City Attorney office on the platted planting strip bifurcating "B" as well as acquiring the vacant parcel adjacent to the east side of "A". The City Commission can then decide which parcel(s) they may want to consider selling. RECOMMENDATION: This update is being provided to the City Commission for informational purposes.
