REQUEST: The Parks and Recreation Department is notifying the City Commission that Cox
Events Group/WMMO Radio Stations Fall Music Fest on November 10,2001, at
Central Winds Park will have a $ 10.00 per ticket cost.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this item is to advise the City Commission that a $ 10.00 fee will be
charged for all tickets to the event.
CONSIDERATIONS:
. The City Commission at the April 4, 2001 meeting approved an agreement with Cox Radio, Inc.
to conduct a Fall Music Fest through WMMO Radio Station on November 10,2001, at Central
Winds Park.
. The agreement does not address what the cost if any will be, only that Cox will pay the City
$2,500 or .50 cents per ticket which ever is greater plus all fire and police expenses.
. Cox Radio originally planned to have tickets available free of charge at sponsored locations and
charge $ 10.00 per person at the Central Winds Park Gate if they did not have a ticket.
. Due to increased costs and the current uncertainty of the economy they need to charge $ 10.00
per ticket to try to cover costs.

In regards to our conversations on Thursday and Friday, r am putting the information in writing.
Due to the increased costs for quality talent/bands to perform at Fall Music Fest in November,
WMMO will charge a nnminal fee of $10 per ticket. As discussed previously, the tickets will still
be available through sponsor locat.ioDs, but in addition, will also be available throUgh T~
outlets and by phone. This will make it even easier for folks to get their tickets to the show.
Again, this p.omiT1a! fee is necessary in order to cover the increased costs and maintain the quality
of Fall Music Fest for all who attend.
Although this does not effect OUr contractual agreement, as our partner in this endeavor, we felt
it appropriate to inform you of this minor change.
