HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001 10 29 Regular F Fencing of Town Center Retention Pond October 22, 2001 Regular Commission Meeting Regular Agenda Item "F" COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM F CONSENT INFORMATIONAL PUBLIC HEARING REGULAR X 10/22/01 Meeting MGR. ~ Authorization REQUEST: City Manager requesting the Commission to review plans and costs related to Magnolia Park, streets capes in the Town Center and fencing of the Town Center retention pond located behind City Hall. PURPOSE: This agenda item is needed to provide the Commission additional information regarding the design and cost of streets and streetscapes on Town Center streets, Magnolia Park, and the retention pond located behind City Hall. NOTE: Updated concepts and costs will be presented at the Commission meeting. CONSIDERATION: On October 8, 2001, Conklin, Porter & Holmes, the City's Consulting Engineering Firm presented the Commission with concepts for streetscapes in the town Center and the retention pond located behind City Hall. The Commission provided numerous comments and requested that the consultant return to the Commission with updated concepts incorporating the Commission's comments. FUNDING: Funding for Magnolia Park, and street and drainage improvements will be provided by the Local Option Infrastructure Sales Tax, 1999 Revenues Bond Issue, Road Improvements Impact Fees, and T -21 Transportation Grant Funds. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Commission review the prepared plans and costs and provide staff with direction the Commission deems appropriate.
