Home My WebLink About2006 01 09 Consent 402 Purchase Ford F-250 Truck COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM 402 CONSENT January 9,2006 MGR /DEPT Meeting Authorization REQUEST: The Utility Department is Requesting permission to purchase (1) Ford F-250 (3/4 Ton Pickup Truck, 4x4) by piggybacking off of Florida Sheriff's Association Bid #04- 12 -0824 with Don Reid Ford PURPOSE: The purpose of this Board item is to request authorization to piggyback off of Florida Sheriff's Association Bid #04-12-0824 with Don Reid Ford for the purchase of one (1) utility truck for the Utility Department at a cost $17,565 payable from the Utility Vehicle line code (3600-64100). CONSIDERATIONS: This vehicle is needed for the transport of small equipment and fuel to the reclaim disposal sites and the field repair crews. It replaces a 1994 F-150. The Florida Sheriffs Association has already accepted this vehicle under (Bid#04-12-0824). FUNDING: The vehicle purchase of$17,565 is within the $18,000 budgeted in the Utility Dept. line code (3600-64100).Expenditure ofthe funds would occur within 90 to 120 days. RECOMMENDATION: The Utility Department recommends authorization be granted to piggyback off of the Florida Sheriff's Association Bid #04-12-0824 with Don Reid Ford for the purchase of one (1) F-250 truck for the Utility Department at a cost of $17,565 payable from the Utility Vehicle line code (3600-64100).
