Commercial Vehicle Definition I. All passenger vehicles, trucks, trailers, construction equipment used in or designed to be used in business. 2. All vehicles designed to accommodate, support, house, store, deliver or transport material, supplies, equipment machinery or power plants. 3. All construction related equipment. 4. All vehicles, trailers and construction equipment upon which a business name or sign is permanently or temporarily affixed. One commercial vehicle exception. provided: I. not semi-trailer truck tractor or trailer; 2. not stake body or flat bed truck; 3. not construction related equipment; 4. not vehicle used to transport hazardous materials; 5. not utility trailer greater than 12 feet in length; 6. not vehicle greater than 10,800 pounds or 22 feet in length, or greater than 8 feet in height; 7. no visible commercial lettering or materials, supplies, equipment, storage racks attached or stored and parked in enclosed garage or upon improved or impervious surface in front of front building line of dwelling without intruding into right-of-way; and 8. Visible commercial lettering, ~upplies materials, equipment or storage racks attached or stored and parked in enclosed garage or behind fence greater than 6 feet so vehicle not visible from surrounding dwellings and right-of-way. 20-436 20-437 Limited term parking permit One commercial vehicle (not greater than 10 feet in height) may be exempt from garaging/fencing requirements until July 2,2001 by permit. No permit issued after December 31, 1999. Exempted Vehicles 1. Police, fire, rescue and other government vehicles. 2. Autos used in business with no commercial lettering, materials, supplies, equipment, storage racks attached or stored.
