Authorization REQUEST: The City Clerk respectfully requests that Commissioner Joanne M. Krebs make an Appointment to the Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee. (Advisory Board Appointment) PURPOSE: This Appointment is needed for the Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee. CONSIDERATIONS: Commissioner Krebs is being requested to make an Appointment to the Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee to fill a vacancy. After Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee previous Advisory Committee Member Alice Louise Allen resigned, Ms. Kathy Moghadas was appointed to fill that vacancy at the September 10, 2007 City Commission Regular Meeting. CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA CITY COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING - NOVEMBER 13, 2007 REGULAR AGENDA ITEM 602 PAGE 2 OF 2 Although Ms. Moghadas was appointed to serve on the Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee, she was never sworn in. Ms. Moghadas was aware that another individual, Dr. Judith A. Converso had also wanted to serve on the Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee and Ms. Moghadas is willing to relinquish her Appointment so that Dr. Converso can be considered for Appointment to the Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee. The Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee usually meets on the second Thursday of each month, beginning at 7 :00 p.m. The Term of Service for Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee Members is typically three (3) years; however, the individual appointed to this Term of Office will serve into August 2008. RECOMMENDATION: Commissioner Krebs is respectfully requested to make an Appointment to the Oak Forest Wall and Beautification District Advisory Committee.
