HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007 10 02 Consent 200 Replace two (2) rooftop air conditioning units at the Police Department COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM 200 CONSENT X INFORMATIONAL PUBLIC HEARING REGULAR October 2.2007 Meeting MGR/z..--mEPT~ Authorization REQUEST: Police Department requesting Commission approval of an emergency expenditure in the amount of$38,245.00 to replace 2 rooftop air conditioning units. PURPOSE: This agenda item is needed to acquire Commission approval of the above mentioned expenditure. CONSIDERATIONS: The Police Department has experienced the loss of 2 rooftop air conditioning units. The units are beyond repair and need to be replaced to maintain the operations of the police department and emergency operations center. This work however will not be finished prior to the start of the new fiscal year but will be funded by current funds in our budget carried forward. FUNDING: Current budget appropriation of funds from line code 2117-54660 for fiscal year 06/07. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the expenditure of funds in the amount of $38,245.00. IMPLEMENT ATION SCHEDULE: Immediately upon approval by Commission. ATTACHMENTS: None. COMMISSION ACTION:
