REQUEST: The Community Development Department wishes to inform the City Commission
about the upcoming schedule of community meetings to be held for Commission interaction with the
citizens of Winter Springs.
PURPOSE: To provide information on scheduled community meetings pursuant to direction
given by the City Commission on June 25,2007. The schedule includes three meetings, one on each
of the dates established by the Commission during the aforementioned meeting.
CHRONOLOGY:
April 19, 2007- The City Commission directed staff to look into possible locations for a series of
community meetings with venues to be located in each of the five commission
districts.
June 25, 2007- Staff presented the Commission with possible dates and locations for these
meetings.
CONSIDERATIONS:
During a workshop on community outreach, the Commission decided to schedule a series of
community meetings to facilitate an exchange of ideas and a discussion of citizen concerns.
Staff is working to secure locations and dates for these meetings as identified below:

This schedule will be finalized by August 6, 2007.
