REQUEST: The Information Services Department wishes to update the
Commission on the progress of the City's web site.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this item is to bring the Commission up to date on web site
development and furnish them with a tentative time line.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1) A web site developer has been selected.
2) A contract between the City and the developer has been drawn up.
The contract is being reviewed to see if it is acceptable to both
parties.
3) Within 4 days of the delivery of the contract, check, and contact
web page materials and information to MPI Net, the City will have
a "contact" page on the Internet. This contact page will be a
temporary "City" page with names and contact information for all
departments of the City. Once the developer has completed the
entire web site, the contact page will be replaced with the City's
new web pages. This should take approximately 3-4 weeks from
date of delivery of web site information to MPI Net.
