RESOLUTION NUMBER 2007-27
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS,
FLORIDA, REQUESTING SEMINOLE COUNTY TO
CONSTRUCT SIDEW ALK FACILITIES ON DYSON
DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the Seminole County School Board Safety Committee recommended
the installation of sidewalks on Dyson Drive including sections within the corporate limits
of Winter Springs and unincorporated Seminole County, and
WHEREAS, the construction of sidewalks on Dyson Drive within the corporate
limits of Winter Springs has been completed, and
WHEREAS, the recommendation of the Seminole County School Traffic Safety
Committee was based upon unsafe conditions for children walking to schools, and school
bus pick up points, and
WHEREAS, the safety of children on Dyson Drive is dependent upon the
completion of the sidewalks within both the incorporated limits of the City of Winter
Springs and unincorporated Seminole County, and
WHEREAS, Seminole County has agreed to fund the installation of sidewalks in
both sections of Dyson Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Winter Springs City Commission expresses its appreciation to the
County for making sidewalks possible on Dyson Drive through its funding
of the project, and
2. That the Winter Springs City Commission requests and encourages
Seminole County to initiate and complete sidewalks in the unincorporated
section of Dyson Drive at the earliest feasible time.
ADOPTED this the!! thday of June 2007, by the Winter Springs City Commission
duly authorized In Winter Springs, Seminole County, Florida.
