HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007 02 12 Consent 416 Approval of January 31, 2007 Discussion on Video Taping City Commission Meeting Summary CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA SUMMARY CITY COMMISSION DISCUSSION ON VIDEO TAPING CITY COMMISSION MEETINGS JANUARY 31, 2007 CALL TO ORDER This Meeting of Wednesday, January 31, 2007 was called to Order by Mayor John F. Bush at 9:07 a.m. in the West Conference Room of the Municipal Building (City Hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida 32708). In Attendance: Mayor John F. Bush, present Commissioner Rick Brown, present Commissioner Joanne M. Krebs, present City Manager Ronald W. McLemore, present DISCUSSION ON VIDEO TAPING CITY COMMISSION MEETINGS There was discussion on Audio and Video Recordings of City Commission Meetings with Ms. Joanne Dalka, Director, Information Services Department; Mr. Kevin Smith, Director, General Services Department; and also Mr. Joe Alcala, IT Coordinator/Security Administrator, Information Services Department; and Mr. Chris Edwards, Projects and Application Support Specialist, Information Services Department. Several examples were shown via a PowerPoint presentation related to what various area cities currently do in terms of video taping their Meetings. The Information Services Department was requested to bring back operating costs related to equipment and various features available.
