WELCOME AND OPENING REMARKS The Inauguration Ceremonies of December 6, 1999 began at approximately 6:12 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Building (City Hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida 32708). City Clerk Andrea Lorenzo-Luaces welcomed everyone. The following individuals were in attendance: Mayor Paul P. Partyka, Deputy Mayor Cindy Gennell, Commissioner Robert S. Miller, Commissioner Michael S. Blake, Commissioner Edward Martinez, Jr., Commissioner David W. McLeod, City Manager Ronald W. McLemore, and City Attorney Anthony Garganese. II. PRESENTATION OF THE COLORS The "Presentation Of The Colors" was performed by members of the Winter Springs High School Army JROTC, led by their Instructor, Sergeant Victor Frasqueri. The National Colors were carried by Mr. Brandon Casella; the State Flag was carried by Mr. Nick Emerson; the Right Guard was Mr. David Raffler; and the Left Guard was Mr. Michael McCauley. They then led the Pledge of Allegiance. III. INVOCATION Father John Bluett, Pastor of St. Stephen's Catholic Church gave the invocation. IV. INTRODUCTION OF CITY OFFICIALS The City Clerk then introduced Mayor Paul P. Partyka, Deputy Mayor Cindy Gennell, Commissioner Robert S. Miller, Commissioner Michael S. Blake, Commissioner Edward Martinez, Jr., Commissioner David W. McLeod, City Manager Ronald W. McLemore, and City Attorney Anthony Garganese. Freeman Circuit Judge, Eighteenth Judicial Circuit was introduced. Mayor Paul P. Partyka - Oath Of Office Mayor Paul P. Partyka addressed those in attendance, and introduced close friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hogue who assisted with his Oath Of Office. Mayor Partyka was then sworn in by Judge Freeman, and then signed the official "Oath of Office". Commissioner Michael S. Blake - Oath Of Office Commissioner Michael S. Blake, with his daughter Melissa holding the Bible, and with son Michael and his wife Lori by his side, was sworn in by Judge Freeman. Commissioner Blake then introduced his family, addressed the audience, and then signed the official "Oath of Office". Commissioner Cindy Gennell - Oath Of Office Commissioner Cindy Gennell, assisted by her husband Richard, and with her mother Mrs. Dorothy Gabriel by her side, was sworn in by Judge Freeman. Commissioner Gennell then introduced her family, addressed members of the audience, and then signed the official "Oath of Office". VI. CLOSING REMARKS Winter Springs resident, Ms. Valerie Pernice was introduced and led the singing of the National Anthem.
