HomeMy WebLinkAbout_1999 11 08 Attorney - Client Session Minutes CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS MINUTES CITY COMMISSION ATTORNEY -CLIENT SESSION NOVEMBER 8, 1999 I. CALL TO ORDER The Attorney-Client Session of November 8, 1999 was called to order by Mayor Paul P. Partyka at 6:31 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Building (City Hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida 32708). The Attorney-Client Session commenced with Mayor Partyka stating that this session should last approximately fifteen (15) minutes; and that the following individuals are "scheduled to be in attendance: Mayor Paul P. Partyka, Deputy Mayor Cindy Gennell, Commissioner Robert S. Miller, Commissioner Michael S. Blake, Commissioner Edward Martinez, Jr., Commissioner David W. McLeod, City Manager Ronald W. McLemore, City Attorney Anthony A. Garganese, and a Court Reporter". Mayor Partyka then stated that the meeting would be held in the Commission Chambers. Attorney Garganese then stated that he "Is seeking the advice regarding the case of Coale versus The City of Winter Springs, and I am seeking the advice in respect to litigation expenditures and strategy, as related to that case". Mayor Partyka then closed this "open meeting", and asked everyone else to leave the Commission Chambers. II. ATTORNEY-CLIENT SESSION Pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, the City Attorney will be seeking the advice of the City Commission concerning the litigation titled Elizabeth Ann Coale v. City of Winter Springs, et ai, Case Number 98-1282-CA-II-K in the Circuit Court of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Seminole County The Attorney-Client Session then commenced. III. ADJOURNMENT Mayor Partyka concluded the Attorney-Client Session at approximately 6:58 p.m. At the conclusion ofthe Attorney-Client Session, the meeting was then reopened to the public.
