REQUEST: Utility Department Requesting Approval for the purchase of one (1) Ford F-350
truck with a utility body.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Board item is to request authorization to piggyback off of
Seminole County's bid number BCC#3073-03 with Don Reid Ford for the purchase
of one (1) utility truck for the Utility Department at a cost of $32,270.
CONSH)ERATIONS:
This vehicle is needed for the Electronics and Instrumentation Technician to carry the
necessary supplies to service the Utility lift stations and treatment plants. The vehicle will be
ordered with an extended cab which is needed to safely store electronic sensitive electrical
tools, equipment and a lap top computer. A utility body is used to store other tools, supplies
and equipment.
FUNDING:
Funds are budgeted and available under line code 3600-64100 vehicles.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that approval be granted to piggyback off of Seminole County's
bid number BCC#3073-03 with Don Reid Ford for the purchase of one Ford F-350 extended
cab truck utility body at a cost of $32,270.00 from 3600-64100.
IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE:
Order will be placed on approval by the city commission.
