SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COMMISSION
SEPTEMBER 10,1997
The Special Meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Deputy Mayor David McLeod
at 6:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Mayor Paul P. Partyka, absent
Deputy Mayor David McLeod, present
City Manager Ronald W. McLemore, present
COMMISSIONERS:
Larry Conniff, present
Michael Blake, present
John Langellotti, present
Cindy Gennell, present
Deputy Mayor McLeod announced that the Commission will consider Item A. 1 first then Item A
Al Requesting the Commission hold a Public Hearing relative to the approval of Resolution No.
829, setting the Tentative Millage Rate at 3.600 Mils or an alternative rate the Commission deems
appropriate and adoption of same, and relative to the adoption of the First Reading of Ordinance No.
677 establishing the Tentative Budget for Fiscal Year 1997-1998. PURPOSE: to request the
Commission approve Resolution No. 829 establishing the Tentative Millage Rate at 3.600 mils or an
alternative rate the Commission deems appropriate:
Motion was made by Commissioner Conniff to read Resolution No. 829 by title only. Seconded
by Commissioner Langellotti. Discussion. Vote: Commissioll1er Conniff: aye; Commissioner
Blake: aye; Commissioner Langellotti: aye; Commissioner Gennell: aye. Motion passes.
Manager McLemore read Resolution No. 829 by title only.
Deputy Mayor McLeod opened the Public Hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one
wished to speak. Deputy Mayor McLeod closed the Public Hearing.
Motion was made by Commissioner ConnitT to approve Resolution No. 829. Seconded by
Commissioner Gennelt. Discussion. Vote: Commissioner Blake: aye; Commissioner
Langellotti: aye; Commissioner Gennell: aye; Commissioner Conniff: aye. Motion passes.
A. Requesting the Commission hold a Public Hearing and First Reading relative to the approval of
Ordinance No. 677, establishing the Tentative Budget for Fiscal Year 1997-1998. PURPOSE: to
request the Commission approve the First Reading of Ordinance No. 677, otherwise known as the
Tentative Budget for Fiscal Year 1997-1998:
Deputy Mayor McLeod opened the Public Hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one
wished to speak. Deputy Mayor McLeod closed the Public Hearing.
Motion was made by Commissioner Conniff to approve the First Reading of Ordinance No.
677 and to read by title only. Seconded by Commissioner Blake. Discussion. Vote:
Commissioner Langellotti: aye; Commissioner Gennell: aye; Commissioner ConnitT: aye;
Commissioner Blake: aye. Motion passes. Manager McLemore read Ordinance No. 677 by title
only.
