WORKSHOP MEETING
CITY COMMISSION
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS
MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 1989
The Workshop Meeting of the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida
was called to order by Mayor Leanne M. Grove at 7:00 P.M..

Utilities Budget:
City Manager Richard Rozansky read the budget of the Utility Department for the
1989-90 fiscal year. Doug Taylor, head of the Utility Department, explained the
proposed budget. The Utility Management Committee were there, including Mr. Terry
Zudtke, Consulting Engineer, Mr. Harry Martin, Finance Director, Mr. Kozlov, Director
Engineering Department, and Mr. Rozansky, City Manager.
The Postage budget was discussed. It was decided to take $4,000 out of the proposed
budget, making it $12,000 instead of the $16,000 asked for. The $4,000 will be "held"
for the present until the Commission decides where to put it.
It was agreed that the General Insurance budget would be $55,000, $14,657 less than
the $69,657 asked for.
The Commission decided to add $5,000 to the Repair and Maintenance of Effluent
Disposal budget, making it $35,000 for 1989-1990.
Under the Capital Improvements Fund, Repair and Maintenance of Sewer Lines was
reduced from $46,091 to $20,000.
A number 15 was added to the Renewal and Replacement Fund for the Rehabilitation
of Waste Water Treatment No.1, for $100,000, making the Renewal and Replacement
total $282,200 instead of the $182,200 proposed.
Line Code 6411, Purchased Meters, was changed to Line Code 5231.
There will be another Workshop Meeting to discuss the budget for the other Departments
on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 P.M..
