WORKSHOP MEETING CITY COMMISSION CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS JULY 17, 1989 The Workshop Meeting of the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, was called to order by Mayor Leanne M. Grove at 7:00 p. m. Roll Call: Mayor Leanne M. Grove, present Deputy Mayor Philip A. Kulbes, present City Manager Richard Rozansky, present Commissioners: Cindy Kaehler, present Arthur Hoffmann, present William A. Jacobs, present Paul P. Partyka, absent The Workshop Meeting was called to review the Fiscal Year 1989-90 Budget and to review the revenues. City Manager Rozansky explained that at the next Commission Meeting, July 24, 1989, the City Commission must set the tentative millage rate. Discussion followed on the revenues. Commissioner Jacobs spoke about insurance and fines and forfeitures. The following changes were made in the Revenues: Mobile Home License Fees Civic Center Rentals Fines and Forfeitures Miscellaneous Revenues Candidates Fees - Add $2,000 - Reduce $500 - Reduce to $110,000 - Reduce $5,000 - Delete ($65,000 reduction) Harry Martin, Finance Director, said this would reduce the amount of the revenues by $69,500.00. Manager Rozansky asked for a consensus of the Commission as to the tentative millage rate of 3 mills. Commission was in agreement with the 3 mills; however, Commission inferred they would review expenditures over the next several weeks before determining final millage. Another Workshop meeting was called for July 31, 1989 at 7:00 p.m. Meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Mary T. Norton, City Clerk
