BID OPENING
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1986 - 2:00 P.M.
The City Manager called the bid opening to order at 2:00 p.m.
Present:
City Manager Richard Rozansky
City Engineer Leonard Kozlov
Consulting Engineer, Terry Zaudtke, CPR
Doug Taylor, Winter Springs Water & Sewer
Gil Artman, Public Works Director
Mary Norton, City Clerk
Six bids were received and opened as follows:
1.Specialty Maintenance & Construction, Inc. 4330 Drane Field Rd., P.O. Box 7120,
Lakeland, FL 33803 and Lakeland, FL 33807-7120 - Bid Bond was received and
acknowledged receipt of Addendum No. 1 and No.2. Total Bid - $1,070,200.00
2. Lee Construction Company of Sanford, P.O. Box 998, Sanford, FL 32771;
Bid Bond was received and acknowledged receipt of Addendum No. 1 and 2;
Total Bid - $1,060,000.00
3. Wharton-Smith, Inc., 750 County Road 15 (P.O. Box 396), Lake Monroe, FL 32747;
Bid Bond was received and acknowledged receipt of Addendum No. 1 and No.2.
Total Bid - $1,084,800.00.

4. Sunshine Building and Development Corp., P.O. Box 958, Casselberry, FL 32707;
Bid Bond was received and acknowledged receipt of Addendum No. 1 and 2:
Total Bid - $1,038,330.00.
5. MECA, Metro Equipment and Construction Association, Inc., P.O. Box 13686,
Orlando, FL 32859; Bid Bond was received and acknowledged receipt of Addendum
No. 1 and 2; Total Bid - $1,226,000.00;
6. Water Processing Co., P.O. Box 6781, Jacksonville, FL 32236; Bid Bond was
received and acknowledged receipt of Addendum No. 1 and 2;
Total Bid - $987,300.00.
The Bids will be turned over to the Consulting Engineer who will make a recommendation
to the City Manager. The City Manager will make a possible recommendation to the
City Commission on December 8, 1986.
The next Bid Opening was for a Backhoe Loader.
The Bid Opening was called to order by City Manager Richard Rozansky at 2:30 p. m.
One Bid was received as follows:
Case Power and Equipment, 1583 Central Florida Parkway, Orlando, FL 32821, in the
amount of $41,995.00.
The Bid will be turned over to Doug Taylor, Winter Springs Water & Sewer,for a
recommendation to the City Manager.

The next Bid Opening was for the Resurfacing of Certain Designated Streets.
The Bid Opening was called to order by Manager Rozansky.
Four Bids were received as follows:
C.A.Meyer Paving and Construction Co., 4978 L.B. McLeod, P.O.Box 5727, Orlando,
FL 32805, in the amount of $105,955.12.
2. Martin Paving Co., 1801 So. Nova Rd.,S.Daytona,FL, P.O.Box 2169, Daytona Beach,
FL 32015-2169, in the amount of $94,415.72.
3. Orlando Paving Co., P.O. Box 7186, Orlando, FL 32854-7186, in the amount of
$102,095.40.
4. Macaspha1t Inc., P.O. Box 1819, Winter Haven, FL 33880, in the amount of
$86,861.64.
The Bids will be turned over to the City Engineer for a recommendation to the
City Manager for a possible recommendation to the City Commission on Dec. 8, 1986.
Bid Opening was closed.
