BID OPENING
WATER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS, CONTRACT II
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18, 1986
The Bid Opening was called to order by Mary Norton, City Clerk.
Present:
Terry Zaudtke, Conklin, Porter & Holmes, Engineers, Inc.
Doug Taylor, Winter Springs Water & Sewer
Norma Williams, Travis Williams Construction Co., Inc.
Rick Bullington, Sunshine Building & Development Corp.
Taylor Brown, Lee Construction Co.
Linda Kuhmle and Susan Smith, Wharton-Smith, Inc.
Don Belloitt, The Belloit Co.
Six Bids were received and opened as follows:
First Bid opened was from Lee Construction Company of Sanford, 319 Elm Aven.,
Sanford, FL 32771. Bid bond was in order and they acknowledged receipt of
addendum #1, and telephone addendum #2 per TMZ.
Total Bid was $222,000.00, deduct $1,000.00.
Bid for Water Plant No. 2 - $109,000.00
Bid for Water Plant NO. 3 - $113,000.00
Second Bid opened was from Sunshine Building and Development Corp., P. O. Box 958,
Casselberry, Florida 32707. Bid bond was in order and they acknowledged receipt of
addendum #1, and telephone addendum #2 per TMZ.
Total Bid was $202,435.00, no deduct.
Bid for Water Plant No.2 - $ 97,580.00
Bid for Water Plant No. 3 - $104,855.00
Third Bid opened was from Travis Williams Construction Co., Inc., 1702 Wind Drift Road,
Orlando, Florida 32809. Bid bond was in order and they acknowledged receipt of
addendum #1, and telephone addendum #2 per TMZ.
Total Bid was $200,520.00, deduct $2,520.00.
Bid for Water Plant No. 2 - $ 94,060.00
Bid for Water Plant No.3 - $106,460.00
Fourth Bid opened was from W.E.D. Contractors, Inc., P.O. Drawer 351, Winter
Haven, FL 33882. Bid bond was in order and they acknowledged receipt of
addendum #1, and telephone addendum #2 per TMZ.
Total Bid was $238,800.00, deduct $2,000.00
Bid for Water Plant NO.2 - $118,000.00
Bid for Water Plant No.3 - $120,800.00
Fifth Bid opened was from The Belloit Co. & W.P.C. Industrial & Utilities Co.,
Jacksonville, Florida. Bid bond was in order and they acknowledged receipt of
addendum #1, and telephone addendum #2 per TMZ.

Longwood, FL 32750. Bid bond was in order and they acknowledged receipt of
addendum #1, and telephone addendum #2 per TMZ.
Total Bid was $229,150.00 - deduct $10,000.00.
Bid for Water Plant No. 2 - $108,450.00
Bid for Water Plant No.3 - $120,700.00
The bids will be turned over to Terry Zaudtke, Consulting Engineer for evaluation,
tabulation, and a recommendation to the City Manager.
