BID OPENING
FOR THE RESURFACING OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED CITY STREETS
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1986
The Bid Opening was called to order by Mayor John V. Torcaso at 2:35 p. m.
Present:
Mayor John V. Torcaso
City Engineer Leonard Kozlov
Public Works Director Gil Artman
City Clerk Mary Norton
Three bids were received as follows:
First Bid opened was from Macasphalt, a Division of APAC-Florida,Inc.,
P.O. Box 1819, Winter Haven, FL 33882-1819 in the amount of $69,562.50
and $19,920.00.
Second Bid opened was from Basic Asphalt & Construction Corp. P. O. Box 17417,
Orlando, Florida 32860 in the amount of $86,651.60 and $9,804.00.
The Third Bid opened was from Orlando Paving Company, P. O. Box 7186,
Orlando, FL 32854 in the amount of $85,802.90 and $23,400.00.
The bids will be reviewed by the City Engineer and Public Works Director for
a recommendation to the City Manager. The Bid Opening was closed at 2:45 p. m.
