Weight Tons Disposal cost February 721,450 lbs ~60. 72 $6492.96 March 1,446,450 lbs 723.22 $13,017.96 April 1,392,210 lbs 696.10 $12,529.89 3 mos. average - 593.34 tons 3 mos. average disposal cost $10,680.27 $10,680.27 ~ 3967 (homes) = $2.69 593.34 x $9.75 (old rate) = $5,785.07 $5,785.07 ~ 3967 = $1.46 per house The difference is $1.23 per home per month The difference of $1.50 and $1.23 is equal to 16 tons additional per month and 1 submit to you that the weight submitted will increase dramatically as we get some moisture. At this point in time the generation of grass and vegetation is almost nil. The rate requests previously submitted to you were based on the Solid Waste Generation Report provided to us from the Florida Department of Environmental. While I agree with the staff I have some reservations regarding the first six sheets on the list. As you know one of our projects for this year was to correct the drainage problems in the Meadowlark Subdivision. The engineers/public works director was to have installed necessary underdrains so as to eliminate the ground water problem which is most apparent on George Street. To date I do not believe this has been resolved. Perhaps underdrains can be installed on George Street in conjunction with the paving. If so then I see no problem. If not, I recorrnnend we accept the bid in items 7, 8, and 9 of the bid form. jds
