Extra $150.00 for pre- dinner appetizers is fine. We can't offer any coffee though, however, hot tea can be included. Iced tea, sodas and alcoholic drinks are self-paid by your guest. Tely 2009/7/28 Andrea Lorenzo-luaces <aluaces(a~wintersprin sg fl.org> Hi Tely, I am so sorry to intrude on your vacation, but thank you so much for responding. My problem is that we had a meeting last night and the Commission is asking for some prices and details by Monday night. My Commission asked me to check with a couple of Winter Springs restaurants to see if they might be able to accommodate our budget with another Board Appreciation Event, similar to the one we had at your restaurant 2 years ago. They were interested in seeing if some restaurant could meet our budget and help us put on a more simple event (without the frills like the decorations and entertainment we have done before), but with good food in a nice City restaurant and such an event would also bring the business owner hopefully some new business! The Commission has decided on either Friday night, September 1 lth or Saturday night, September 12~' and again, this is the type of event that the Commission puts on to thank their volunteers in the City for their work over the past year, however, in light of budget issues, the Commission has a very restricted Budget and has to be very cautious of what is spent on this event. These are the basics: We would hope to have about 80-100 guests attend this event on with almost all as Winter Springs residents and the rest work in Winter Springs. To meet the budget, we would be willing to have less fancy menu items and could possibly go with about $11 14.00 a person There was one more option, if we could go with the above pricing, they were hoping that for perhaps an extra $150, we could possibly offer apre-dinner reception with guests mingling for about a half hour and perhaps you could suggest some kind of trayed appetizer which could be served before dinner, while guests mingled. If anyone wanted any soft drinks or other beverages, other than the typical hot tea, they would purchase those themselves. Please understand that the Commission was interested in me checking with you and it will be up to them to decide which restaurant they go with, based on what they feel best about. I hope you can help us with this request. If you could please respond with some prices and "tentative" menu ideas, before this Friday, then I can bring it up with the Commission on Monday.
